This Susan Polgar set is perfect for my “chess obsessed” 5 year old son. I downloaded it to my iPad and he started watching right away! Susan explains everything in a straightforward and simple manner. There are no cartoons involved – just Susan and the chess board.
Thoroughly enjoying the course. Great, easy to understand, instruction from a great teacher. Highly recommend.
This is a great course that I just can’t stop watching. This isn’t just for absolute beginners but will fill in a lot of gaps in your play even if you have been playing for awhile. Everything is well explained by Damian Lemos.
This Chess Course by Susan Polgar is great! It is easy to understand, comprehend and retain. GM Polgar explains everything in a manner that everyone can fully understand thereby infuse more interest to her student!
I received this as a present because I am starting into chess, in 4 months I have been able to get much better results and my rating has increased so quickly. I like the way the course is structured and the clear voice of the instructor as well as the pace. I will study this course for the second time.
This dvd of Smirnof are revealing. Before watching them I felt chess thoughts were a mistery. Now, It’s all more clear for me, and I know what I have to do to improve my chess skills.
It’s great to ameliorate your chess game, an excellent product. I would recommend it to all who want to learn chess and improve their skills as chess players. I really appreciate this product! God bless! Wish you all the best!
Very pleased with the direction of the course
I have always played intuitively without insight into tactics . En passant was helpful too. It was very encouraging to continue my exploration of chess.
It’s starting to come together now, and I’m learning a ton. This is a great intro to intermediate course for the elusive endgame phase. As a beginner (my rating is only 1100-1200 on a good day), endgame puzzles seemed random and ambiguous; I’m now seeing ideas and suggestions that are practical and easy to apply. Five star course without a doubt.
I was looking for a chess course that started from a beginner’s perspective and taught me how to think like a chess player, not just what moves to make. Anna Rudolph does this magnificently. She teaches move by move, not going too fadt or too slow. Her voice and accent are understandable and pleasing. I have already learned more than I expected, and I am just finished with opening principles, strategies and tactics. I still have middlegame and endgame to study, plus a super in-depth endgame course. I highly recommend this volume to all beginners and even intermediates, if you feel there may be holes in your chess education. You won’t learn a hundred openings, for example, but you will learn how to learn openings.
During this course I got plenty of new ideas and saw moves that I never would have found myself in those situations. I absolutely recommend this product and I will continue using London opening in my games when playing white.
It’s a real hit, It took me through all stages of learning the london method, which is the best out there, especially for beginners, I would fully recommend it to all beginners, I have never before encountered such a beutifull course.
This is a great course. Great selection of 100 complete games explained over video. Each video is 20-30 minutes long and the presenter asks you to pause at critical moments and think for yourself. I have been following the method recommended to watch just one game a day and I have been learning a lot. Most importantly, this is not a random 100 games from the database. These games are all selected for their instructive value and GM Grigoryan did a fantastic job…
Ratkovic is good chess coaching.
I am rated around 1550. I was lost on what to do in QGD after the opening. This video is perfect for me. I love Lemos’s style of teaching.
I declare the following with enthusiasm: IM Kostya Kavutskiy’s course is illuminating, incisive, yet practical. He’s exceptionally articulate but also a smooth operator. Sit back, relax, and enjoy this enriching showcase of chess instruction. I recommend this course to all players below his strength: It’s masterful!
The content is extremely meaningful and worth the investment. The teaching style is wonderfully simple and effective. It was a joy going through the material. Thank you so much.
very clear explained through practical examples, gives students the opportunity to first try to find solution for themselves, provides instructions and several techniques for finding a tactical strike in the real game
Promising ideas
.
I’m getting idea after idea. Watch the previews online, if you like GM Shankland’s style of presenting (which I do) you’ll enjoy this course
Really nice, brief (4hr) review of chess strategy. I have several videos that IM Ris has done and all are excellent, and this one is no different. Very clear explanation of concepts which makes it very accessible for class-level players.
GM Georg Meier was magisterial in presenting his thoughts on Strategy! In addition, he provided excellent extra materials for training and practice. This is one of the best DVDs I own and it is worth every penny. The more you watch it, the more you learn at every visit! He should make more courses with his assuring manner. Highly recommended!
A hot bed of material highly recommend must have

Get this course - 82% off! 🔥Chess openings knowledge is crucial in competitive chess. Between equal players, it often makes the difference between winning and drawing.
However, up till now, most opening instruction has been very general – good enough so you know what you’re doing but without the detail required to give you the competitive edge in tournaments.
GM Damian Lemos has addressed that with his acclaimed Deep Dive series.
As the name suggests, Damian gives you the deep knowledge you need to outplay your opponents in specific openings.
Get this course - 70% off! 🔥The London System is a chess opening for White that usually starts with the moves 1.d4 and 2.Bf4 (or 2.Nf3 first, followed by 3.Bf4) by White.
This flexible chess opening is a weapon that you can use against virtually any Black defense and has a smaller body of theory than many other openings.
The London System is one of the chess openings for White where White begins with the move 1.d4, but doesn’t play the Queen’s Gambit. It normally results in a closed game.
This makes it the perfect choice for busy club players who prefer to understand key strategic and tactical ideas instead of having to memorize an endless number of theoretical variations.
